Curriculum by Year Group
Heathmere’s curriculum vision is for children’s learning to be purposeful, empowering them to be ambitious for their future.
Our curriculum is carefully planned to make links between subjects and prior learning, while following the National Curriculum. Each of our units are designed to be interesting and engaging for all – as well as teaching children the key subject knowledge and learning skills they need for a successful future.
Specialist Teachers are used to deliver Art, Dance, Design and Technology, Gymnastics, Music, Swimming and Tennis lessons - this enhances our curriculum further, ensuring all subjects are taught in a purposeful way. An outline of each year group's current curriculum can be found below. If you would like further information on the curriculum we follow, please speak to your child's Class Teacher or contact the school office to speak to our Curriculum Lead.
The locally agreed syllabus is used to deliver Religious Education at Heathmere.
An Inclusive Curriculum
Heathmere is an inclusive school and all aspects of the curriculum are made accessible to every child, regardless of any special need or disability. Reasonable adjustments will be made to ensure all children feel included in all aspects of the curriculum.
